Project Overview
Project Summary
Nettles poured approximately 6,500 square feet of flowable fill for the subfloor of a government administration building in Louisiana.
The Problem
We were contracted to pour flowable fill in internal rooms of the building to create a subfloor with a semi-finished surface. The building remained occupied during the work. We had to install the subfloor at multiple depths while maintaining a continuous monolithic pour. This requirement made the project an excellent application of flowable fill.
The Nettles Solution
We furnished and installed almost 7,000 square feet of flowable fill at a depth of 4″7′. It was a monolithic pour, and we were able to pour all 140 cubic yards and get out of the contractor’s way within a single day.
Flowable fill was the right choice for this project due to its high strength and flowability. It can be poured into very tight or constrained areas such as interior rooms. The material is strong and durable when hardened, making it an ideal floor substrate.
Nettles is one of the largest and most respected subcontractors and installers of flowable fill in the country. We work across the Midwest, from the Dakotas down to the Gulf of Mexico, including Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.
