What is Type N roof deck?
Type N Steel Roof Deck is twice the depth of Type B, providing it the strength to span roughly twice the distance in the same gauge. This makes Type N ideal for applications with larger distances between supports, and common for structures with large open spaces (like canopies, auditoriums, and gymnasiums). When combined with fiberglass insulating batts, Type N deck is highly sound-absorbent.
